Enter the name of your server. This name should be something meaningful, to remind you which server you are using.
Enter the server address. The Server is the computer that you connect to when you want to browse the Internet, it also displays your web pages to anyone who visits your Website. For example, a server address might be: www.woodnet.com
Your login name is given to you by your ISP (Internet Service Provider - the company that gets you connected). Your login name and password uniquely identify whom you are when it comes to uploading your work. ISPs don't want just anyone uploading to their Server!
Enter your Password. Your password is provided by your ISP.
This is the directory in which your server looks to try to find your webpages when a visitor wants to view them. The usual directory is public_html or www. Your ISP should have told you the name of this directory.
The usual Port Number is 21. Don’t change this default value unless your ISP tells you to do so.
The Time Out time determines how long HotDog tries to log on to your server.
The Keep Connection Alive option keeps the connection to your server active, even when you are not uploading or downloading any data. You probably wouldn't want this option if your Internet connection were pay-per-minute.
